We're three friends who kept running into the same wall in our own work. Editing video meant constantly needing images in a specific format the editing software would actually accept. Uploading to certain websites meant discovering, too late, that they only took one particular file type. And every time we looked for a quick online converter to solve it, we ran into the same pattern: a handful of free conversions before you hit a wall, a paywall for a feature as basic as batch processing, or a tool so limited it could barely handle the one thing we needed it for.
None of that made sense for something as simple as changing a file from one image format to another. So we built the tool we actually wanted to use ourselves, and decided other people dealing with the same daily annoyance should have it too, for free, without a login screen standing in the way.
Most online converters work by uploading your file to a server somewhere, processing it there, and sending a result back. We built this one differently. Every conversion runs entirely inside your own browser, using WebAssembly to do the actual image processing on your device's own hardware. Your file never leaves your computer, never touches our servers, because there's no server in that part of the process at all.
This isn't a privacy feature we bolted on afterward. It's the reason the tool can be free with no conversion limits in the first place: we're not paying for server infrastructure to process millions of images, your own browser is doing that work, so there's no per-conversion cost for us to recoup from you.
Nine formats, converting freely between any of them: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, SVG, JFIF, GIF, ICO, and TIFF. Batch processing, so a folder of files goes through in one pass instead of one at a time. An Advanced Settings panel on each conversion for controlling compression quality and setting a renaming pattern for the output files. No account, no email address, no sign-up form standing between you and a converted file.
We're still actively building this, adding format support and tools as they become genuinely useful rather than chasing every new codec that shows up. If there's a format or a feature you keep needing and can't find here, that's exactly the kind of gap we started this project to close in the first place.
We made this because we needed it. If it saves you the same daily friction it used to cost us, that's the whole goal.
